Aerovoyce,India's first MVNO,to launch operations by April:Deccan Chronicle
- CHENNAI,March 2: Adpay's is likely to launch Aerovoyce, India's first mobile virtual network operator(MVNO)service by April in chennai, Tamil nadu and pondicherry circle,Sivakumar Kuppusamy, CEO, Adpay Mobile Payment India Pvt Ltd said.
- An MVNO will not own a spectrum of its own but it will provide services like any other telecom operating on the extra band width of the licensed telecom operators like BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone. This he added, will enable the MVNO operate to provide voice, data, broadband, IP TV, and other Internet services at lower rates and at the same quality.
- In September 2016, the Telecon Industry said it had received nearly 70 applications for providing telecom services soon after guidelines related to virtual network operator were launched. We are the first ones to receive the licence," he added.
- The group plans to launch the first SIM card in the chennai circle by April 14 and subsequently in the rest of the state and pondicherry. their target is to get five lakh subscribers in the first year operations.
- The group aims to provide services across india,and plans to invest Rs.300 crore in the next three years. Currently, the operator has 60 employees and is aiming to hire 1000 in the next three years.
